Aqara has introduced a range of new smart home solutions aimed at enhancing security, safety, energy efficiency, and interoperability. The company is also announcing new partnerships with Home Assistant and Tesla.
We love our Aqara products here, and have multiple of them featured on our “Buying Over and Over Again” post. We’ve found them to be durable, reliable, and have good battery life.
The new products include the Camera Hub G5 Pro, Garage Door Controller T2 Kit, Valve Controller T1, and Smoke Detector, among others. The Camera Hub G5 Pro is designed for outdoor use and features a 4MP camera with True Color Night Vision. It offers real-time monitoring and AI capabilities for recognizing faces, vehicles, pets, and packages. The Garage Door Controller T2 Kit allows control of up to two garage doors and integrates with voice assistants and mobile apps. The Valve Controller T1 can automatically shut off water or gas systems in response to leaks, and the Smoke Detector features an 85-decibel alarm and long battery life.
Aqara is expanding its Thread product portfolio with a new series of Thread-enabled wall switches for the European market, including the Light Switch H2 EU, Dimmer Switch H2 EU, and Shutter Switch H2 EU. These switches support both Thread and Zigbee communication. Additionally, the company is introducing the Thread-enabled LED Bulb T2, available in both RGB CCT and simpler CCT versions.
The company is also focusing on Matter compatibility, offering new capabilities and support across its product lineup. Aqara has announced its participation in the Work with Home Assistant program and integration with Tesla electric vehicles for smart home routines.
