Amazon has announced an expansion of its Fire TV lineup with the introduction of the Fire TV Omni Mini-LED Series. Since the launch of the first Fire TV device in 2014, Amazon has focused on making televisions more intelligent and accessible. The Fire TV lineup has grown to include various devices, including Cubes, Sticks, and smart TVs made with brands such as Panasonic, Hisense, Toshiba, and TCL. With over 250 million Fire TV devices sold worldwide, Amazon continues to enhance its offerings based on evolving customer preferences for smart, connected television experiences.
The newly introduced Fire TV Omni Mini-LED Series is touted as Amazon’s most advanced television, optimizing picture quality, audio, and performance. It features a QLED Mini-LED display with up to 1,400 nits of peak brightness and 1,344 dimming zones, supporting Dolby Vision IQ and HDR10+ Adaptive. The TV includes built-in far-field technology, allowing users to manage content and control the Fire TV Ambient Experience hands-free via Alexa. The series is available in various display sizes to suit different living room settings.
Among the new features of the Omni Mini-LED Series is Intelligent Picture technology. This technology uses artificial intelligence and advanced sensors to enhance picture quality by analyzing and optimizing scenes in real-time. The TV adjusts brightness and color temperature based on ambient lighting conditions, ensuring optimal viewing at any time of day. Additionally, the Ambient Experience feature replaces idle screens with informative displays and artwork, with new interactive art that responds to movement in front of the TV.
The Omni Mini-LED Series also offers an enhanced audio experience with Dolby Atmos support, dual speakers, and up to two built-in subwoofers. Gamers will benefit from features like AMD FreeSync Premium Pro certification, Variable Refresh Rate, Auto Low Latency Mode, and a 144Hz refresh rate in Gaming Mode, which together reduce visual artifacts and input lag. Future-proof connectivity is supported by Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2, catering to users with the latest routers for high-speed, low-latency streaming.
Amazon is also expanding its Fire TV’s support for Audio Streaming for Hearing Aids (ASHA) with a new Dual Audio feature. This feature will allow users with ASHA-enabled hearing aids to receive audio directly to their devices while others can listen through the TV speakers. This advancement builds on Amazon’s collaborations with hearing aid technology leaders, enhancing audio integration for users with assistive devices.
