Lorex Technology has announced the launch of its Stop Before it Happens initiative, introducing Smart Security Lighting (SSL) and the Lorex Guarantee Program. This initiative aims to reduce car theft, which affects nearly 1 million vehicles annually, causing financial burdens such as rising insurance premiums and increased public service costs. Local governments are working to curb car-related crimes, and homes with security cameras are found to be 300% less likely to experience break-ins.

Lorex’s SSL products feature a prominent LED band, visible from a distance, designed to deter car theft. Unlike other brands relying on motion detection, this LED can be set to shine continuously, providing ongoing protection. The goal is to help consumers prevent car theft through advanced deterrence features.

The Lorex Guarantee Program offers $100 back to users with eligible products if a car theft occurs and the security camera does not prevent it. Lorex products come with various deterrence tools, including AI detection, motion-activated warning lights, a remotely triggered siren, and communication features such as 2-Way Talk and pre-recorded Quick Response messages.

Key features of Smart Security Lighting (SSL) include:

– Customizable LED Light: Over 16 million colors for enhanced visibility.
– Adjustable Settings: Options for always-on 24/7, motion-activated, working mode, panic mode, and party mode.
– Distance Visibility: Lighting and camera noticeable from a distance.
– AI Motion-Activated Features: Bright spotlights activated by motion.
– Warning Siren: A loud siren remotely triggered to scare potential threats.
– 2-Way Talk: Built-in microphone and speaker for real-time communication via the Lorex app.
– Quick Response: Pre-set or personalized messages sent through the camera with a tap of a button.
