DREO has launched the DREO BaristaMaker, a smart milk frother designed to produce barista-quality microfoam. This device is compatible with various types of milk, including plant-based options. The frother will be available on Kickstarter starting August 13th, with an early bird discount of up to 30%.

In an exclusive launch event held on July 16 in New York City, industry experts and media were introduced to the BaristaMaker. The event highlighted its innovative features and ability to create microfoam suitable for latte art. Three World Barista Champions—Mikael Jasin, Anthony Douglas, and Dale Harris—are collaborating with DREO as ambassadors for the product.

The DREO BaristaMaker employs a patented impeller combo design and tailored algorithms to replicate the frothing process used by professional baristas. It creates 0.5mm micro-bubbles, resulting in dense microfoam. The multi-stage frothing program heats the milk, mixes air to create larger bubbles, and then transforms these into dense microfoam.

The device is versatile, offering multiple frothing settings for different types of foam and compatibility with both dairy and plant-based milks. It also works well with powdered beverages like matcha and hot chocolate. The jug can be used as a stainless steel pitcher and is dishwasher safe.
