Ford recently announced the Ford Power Promise to enhance the convenience and support for electric vehicle owners. This initiative focuses on three main areas: home charging, on-the-road charging, and battery confidence.

For home charging, customers who buy or lease a Ford Mustang Mach-E, F-150 Lightning, or E-Transit will receive a complimentary home charger. An expert will also install the charger at no additional cost for a standard installation. This aims to simplify the home charging process and eliminate uncertainties regarding installation and costs. ( There are a couple of caveats to this, like if your breaker box needs updating it won’t be covered by this. )

On-the-road charging is facilitated by the BlueOval Charge Network, which integrates with various networks such as Electrify America and Tesla Superchargers. The network automatically finds charging stations and adds stops to the vehicle’s route through Connected Navigation. The Plug and Charge feature allows for automatic payment via the FordPass account.

Battery confidence is addressed with an eight-year/100,000-mile high-voltage battery warranty for all Ford electric vehicles. Additionally, Ford offers complimentary roadside assistance if the vehicle’s range runs too low and provides 24/7 support from Ford advisors for electric vehicle-related inquiries.
