A recent collaboration between Xbox and Amazon allows Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members to access and play numerous cloud-enabled games on select Fire TV devices. This development eliminates the need for a gaming console. Starting in July, members can use the Xbox app on their Fire TV devices to play a wide range of games.

To begin, users need a Fire TV Stick 4K Max (2023) or a Fire TV Stick 4K (2023). These devices are priced from $49.99. The Xbox app can be downloaded from the Amazon Appstore. After installation, users must sign in with their Microsoft account. Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members will then have immediate access to the Game Pass Ultimate library. Non-members can subscribe through the app. There is also a free option to access Fortnite without a membership. A compatible Bluetooth controller is required to start gaming; options include the Xbox Wireless Controller, Xbox Adaptive Controller, DualSense, or DualShock 4 controllers.

One key advantage of this system is the ability to play high-quality games without a console. The Fire TV Stick can stream graphic-intensive games, such as Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II. The portability of the Fire TV Stick allows users to move their setup easily or take it on trips, provided there is a reliable internet connection.

Fallout fans can now play titles like Fallout 4 and Fallout 76 on Fire TV devices. Additionally, they can watch the Fallout TV series on Prime Video.

This initiative is part of Amazon’s strategy to enhance entertainment experiences, providing both casual and hardcore gamers a convenient and cost-effective way to explore the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate library.
