GE Lighting, a Savant company, has announced a collaboration with SmartThings, Samsung’s global connected living platform. This partnership aims to expand connected smart lighting options for consumers. The Cync reveal undercabinet fixtures are now compatible with Matter and work with SmartThings to enhance the connected kitchen experience. These fixtures offer customizable lighting that integrates into users’ lifestyles.

Mark Benson, Head of SmartThings US, stated that the partnership aims to improve the kitchen experience for SmartThings users by providing seamless illumination. The goal is to create a user-friendly connected home experience and to offer more SmartThings-compatible products in the future.

The Cync reveal HD+ Full Color Undercabinet Fixtures are the first full-color, edge-lit smart undercabinet lights in North America. These products offer clarity, millions of color options, and smart control in an easy-to-install design. The slim profile and edge-lit construction provide diffused, vibrant colors and clean light that enhance countertops. These fixtures address common issues with other indoor lighting options by offering increased productivity, convenience, and functionality. They can be hardwired or plugged directly into the wall for flexible installation. Users can customize their lighting experience with a range of whites and colors and connect up to 10 fixtures. With SmartThings integration, users can set schedules, control lights remotely, and create lighting scenes.

Kara Perdue, Vice President of Product Management at GE Lighting, noted that Cync reveal undercabinet fixtures combine bright, low-glare light with smart home features. The integration with SmartThings provides more capabilities to make kitchens more productive and personalized. Additional SmartThings-compatible Cync smart home products, including smart plugs, bulbs, and light strips, are expected in the future.
