iRobot Corp. has introduced the Roomba Combo 10 Max Robot + AutoWash Dock, a new robot vacuum and mop. This device includes the multifunction AutoWash Dock, which refills and recharges the robot, cleans the mopping pad, empties debris, and self-cleans. The Roomba Combo 10 Max is powered by iRobot OS and features Enhanced Dirt Detect Technology, which allows it to recognize higher concentrations of dirt and debris more frequently. It is also compliant with the Matter smart home protocol and compatible with the Apple Home ecosystem.
The AutoWash Dock uses antimicrobial materials and automatically handles dirt and debris emptying for up to 60 days. It also holds up to a 7-day water supply for washing and self-cleaning the mop pad. Users can manage these functions through the iRobot Home app.
The Roomba Combo 10 Max has a 4-Stage Cleaning System, including an Edge-Sweeping Brush, Dual Rubber Brushes, and Power-Lifting Suction, along with deep-clean mopping. It can increase suction on carpets and mops with consistent pressure for deeper cleaning. The robot transitions from vacuuming to mopping and features a Dry Rug Intelligence system that lifts the mop pad to avoid wetting carpets.
Enhanced Dirt Detect Technology allows the robot to visually identify dirt using its camera, making multiple passes over dirtier areas. The Roomba Combo 10 Max uses PrecisionVision Navigation and machine learning to create a smart map of the home quickly and predicts the cleanliness of each room. It is compatible with Alexa, Siri, and Google Assistant for voice control and includes features to avoid obstacles and pet accidents.
The Roomba Combo 10 Max will be Matter-enabled and Apple Home compatible by Q4 2024. iRobot emphasizes data privacy and security, using high standards of data encryption and not selling customer data.
