I purchased a set of the Kasa Smart Plug Mini ( EP10P4 ) quite a while ago. Overall, this has proven to be a pretty reliable set of smart plugs with a wide compatibility range. I’ve used these with the Kasa app, Amazon Alexa, Google Home, and Home Assistant. These are another set of smart plugs that “just do what they should”. Items turn on and off with a schedule, or with a voice request. Integration with smart home controllers was easy and painless. Even the Kasa app is pretty easy to use, with the ability to set automatic timers for switches to turn on and off.
I also like the smaller size for this plug. It covers one outlet, and only one outlet. This leaves the other outlet available for another smart plug, or any other object you wanted to plug into it. With some smart plugs blocking off more than one outlet, the smaller size is greatly appreciated.
The one thing that has me moving away from these switches is the Wifi connectivity. These require a 2.4GHz wifi connection to communicate. Even local use runs on Wifi.
