Kenmore, a recognized brand in home technology, has announced the upcoming release of its Home Energy Management System. This suite of smart technologies is intended to assist consumers in understanding and controlling their energy usage more effectively. The system includes smart plugs, leak sensors, and a smart home manager app, all designed to integrate for energy-conscious living.

The Home Energy Management System features smart plugs that monitor and control the energy consumption of individual devices. Additionally, leak sensors are included to detect water leaks at an early stage, preventing waste and potential damage. The Kenmore Home App serves as a centralized platform to track energy usage and identify inefficiencies, allowing for more informed energy consumption.

These technologies are compatible with appliances from any brand, providing insights through the Kenmore Home application. The development of this application is in partnership with Ayla Networks, a provider of smart home and IoT software platforms. This collaboration aims to simplify home management while enhancing energy efficiency.

Moreover, the system leverages extensive appliance performance and repair data from Kenmore and Sears Home Services to offer early detection of potential appliance faults. The smart home manager application connects users with a national network of in-home appliance technicians for prompt maintenance or repair services.

Kenmore’s launch of the Home Energy Management System is part of their broader objective to promote electrification in homes. In line with this initiative, Kenmore will present additional energy-efficient appliances at the Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (KBIS) and the International Builder’s Show (IBS). These include advanced heat pumps and battery storage solutions, with the latter being showcased under the DieHard brand.

For those interested in exploring these technologies, Kenmore invites attendees to visit their booths at KBIS 2025 and the International Builder’s Show. Check out Kenmore’s press release here for more information.
