LG Announces New Appliances with Better Energy Efficiency

LG Electronics is set to introduce a new range of home appliances at IFA 2024, which are noted for their superior energy efficiency. These appliances are designed to support the European Union’s goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2050 and the REPowerEU plan aimed at reducing reliance on fossil fuels. The new lineup utilizes LG’s advanced technologies to enhance performance while lowering power consumption.

The new washing machine and dryer feature advanced energy-saving technologies. The washing machine uses an Artificial Intelligence Direct Drive (AI DD) motor that adjusts its RPM in real-time, resulting in an A-55 percent energy rating. It also includes a Microplastic Care cycle to reduce microplastic shedding and an ezDispense feature for automatic detergent dispensing. The dryer has an A+++-26 percent energy rating, with AI Dry technology for precise moisture detection and optimal drying.

LG’s new bottom-freezer refrigerator offers the lowest energy consumption in its category, with an A-25 percent energy rating and a quiet 29dB operation. LG is also introducing a large capacity side-by-side refrigerator model that includes features like a Craft Ice spherical-ice maker and UVnano technology for hygiene.

In the kitchen, LG’s new 60-centimeter built-in InstaView oven has an A++ energy efficiency rating. It includes 80 Auto Cook modes and Gourmet AI️, which identifies dishes through a built-in camera to select the appropriate cooking mode. The oven also features InstaView technology to check on meals without opening the door, preserving internal temperature and saving energy. Additionally, the new LG QuadWash dishwasher has an A-20 percent energy rating and includes flexible loading options with its Side Rack and 3rd Rack features.
