LG Electronics has introduced its new DUALCOOL residential air conditioner at the MCE 2024 exhibition in Milan, Italy. The DUALCOOL model features LG’s advanced air conditioning technologies, such as the Soft Air function aimed at enhancing comfort by providing a pleasant indoor environment throughout the year.
The air conditioner is designed with a dual outlet structure for rapid and precise temperature control, as well as gentle, indirect airflow to avoid discomfort. Its aesthetic ‘interior fit’ design and matte finish make it a stylish home addition. The unit is equipped with the Dual Inverter Heat Pump Compressor, ensuring reliability and high performance for both cooling and heating across seasons, and has achieved an EU energy efficiency rating of A+++.
The Soft Air function of the air conditioner allows for a customized cooling experience with a soothing breeze that descends from the ceiling, rather than blowing directly at occupants. The DUAL Vane system in the DUALCOOL air conditioner helps distribute air in multiple directions, extending the airflow range to 22 meters, which is a 22 percent improvement over previous models. The system also outperforms single-vane solutions by up to 23 percent in cooling and 6 percent in heating.
Additionally, the new model features a Human Detection Sensor which adjusts airflow based on the distance of the room’s occupants, providing direct or indirect airflow as necessary. This sensor can be customized to trigger different airflows based on user proximity.
With rising energy costs in the EU, the DUALCOOL air conditioner is designed to offer energy-saving benefits. The unit’s Dual Inverter Heat Pump Compressor, along with smart energy management features, contribute to cost-effective home climate control. The air conditioner boasts a 9.5 Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio (SEER) for cooling and a 5.1 Seasonal Coefficient of Performance (SCOP) for heating. The kW Manager feature, accessible via the ThinQ app, allows users to monitor and manage energy consumption in real time.
The DUALCOOL’s energy-saving potential is further enhanced by its Human Detecting Sensor, which puts the unit into energy-saving mode when no one is detected in the room, and a Window Open Detecting feature that activates energy-saving mode if a sudden temperature change is detected.
For maintenance, the DUALCOOL air conditioner includes Auto Cleaning to dry the interior and prevent mold, and Freeze Cleaning to defrost the heat exchanger, thereby washing away bacteria and contaminants.
