LG Electronics has announced the rebranding of its SIGNATURE KITCHEN SUITE to SKS at the 2025 Kitchen and Bath Industry Show (KBIS) in Las Vegas, Nevada, from February 25-27. The brand, which was initially launched in 2016, is undergoing a transformation with a new identity and lineup of advanced kitchen appliances under the SKS name. This change aims to enhance the brand’s appeal to a global audience while maintaining its core characteristics. The rebranding reflects SKS’s focus on luxury built-in appliances, combining sophisticated design with advanced technology.
Despite facing challenges in the global market, SKS is strategizing to maintain its leadership position by incorporating advanced Core Technology, AI-driven convenience, and refined design. This repositioning is a strategic move for SKS in the expanding built-in appliance market, reinforcing its status as a leading household appliance brand. Following the KBIS 2025 event, LG plans to implement a comprehensive brand renewal strategy across various customer interaction points, including retail stores and showrooms. The company is also planning to expand its presence in the U.S. by opening a third showroom.
At the KBIS 2025 event, LG is presenting a range of SKS appliances designed to improve both the aesthetics and functionality of luxury kitchens. A key product in the lineup is the new 36-inch Cook-zone-free Induction Pro Range. This product features a pioneering free-zone cooking surface, allowing users to place cookware anywhere on the cooktop. The range is equipped with an advanced convection system to ensure even and rapid cooking, steam technology for preserving meal quality, and a built-in camera for real-time monitoring. LG’s Gourmet AI is also part of the package, providing intelligent heating control.
In addition to the Pro Range, SKS is launching a dishwasher that fits seamlessly with standard-depth cabinetry, maintaining clean lines in custom-designed kitchens. LG is also introducing the SKS Island System, which integrates advanced cooking and ventilation technologies. It features a concealed induction cooktop that blends with the woodgrain finish of the countertop when not in use, and a downdraft ventilation system with proprietary air curtain technology for efficient smoke and steam removal. Customizable storage spaces around the ventilation system highlight SKS’s focus on personalized luxury.
The president of the LG Home Appliance Solution Company, Lyu Jae-cheol, stated that the new SKS brand reflects the ongoing development of their premium kitchen offerings, celebrating a decade of excellence. The brand remains committed to its True to Food philosophy, aiming to provide unique kitchen solutions that enhance customer experiences and strengthen LG’s leadership in the high-end built-in market.
