Lorex Technology has introduced its first 4K Battery Video Doorbell, aimed at enhancing visual performance in the battery doorbell category.

The doorbell features 4K resolution, Color Night Vision, and IR Night Vision, allowing for high-quality image capture even in low light. The wide-angle lens is vertically oriented with a 9:16 aspect ratio, offering a comprehensive head-to-toe view without the distortion commonly associated with fisheye lenses. The piano finish is sleek and just noticeable enough, without being obnoxious looking.

The doorbell offers dual power modes: a wire-free battery installation and a wired connection for continuous charging. The battery can last up to four months or approximately 800 motion events on a single charge. Installation is designed to be straightforward, requiring only three steps.

Additional features include an LED Smart Security Call button that can be customized in color and function to deter unwanted visitors, and a Nightlight feature for added security. The device uses Person Detection to minimize unnecessary alerts. Communication options include pre-set Quick Response Messages and a 2-Way Talk feature.

The doorbell comes with a 64GB MicroSD card for local video storage, offering up to six months of video without subscription fees. Lorex has integrated its Video Vault Technology, focusing on privacy with local storage, in-camera edge AI, and a design prioritizing user privacy.
