Lutron Electronics has introduced Caséta smart shades, expanding its offerings in lighting control and automated shading solutions. Known for reliability, Lutron smart shades have been well-received by customers. The new Caséta smart shades are priced under $400, a competitive option in the market. Designed to last over a decade, these shades come with a robust warranty and are compatible with more smart home systems than any other product in this category.
Caséta smart shades provide various control options, including scheduled settings, wall controls, remotes, the Lutron app, and voice commands. They facilitate the management of natural light and can be combined with smart lighting controls for lamps and overhead fixtures to create layered lighting environments. These shades integrate seamlessly with major smart home platforms such as Amazon Alexa, Apple Home, and Google Home.
Lutron has managed to offer these high-quality shades at a lower price point by revamping its product technology, supply chain, and operations. The shades are available for dimensions up to 48 inches wide and 80 inches high, which caters to most standard residential windows. Blackout options are available for a slightly higher cost. Larger custom sizes are offered with dimensions up to 96 inches wide and 104 inches long at an extra cost.
The installation process for Caséta smart shades is straightforward, featuring a design that allows for wire-free setup. Customers can choose between roller and honeycomb styles, available in white or grey, with options for light filtering or blackout fabrics. The roller shade design includes an exposed roll for a modern aesthetic. The shades ship directly to customers and can be installed in approximately 15 minutes using just four screws.
