Ashley, a prominent furniture store brand in North America, has partnered with Samsung Electronics America, a leader in connected ecosystems and the top global TV brand for 18 consecutive years, to introduce The Connected Home Experience powered by Samsung SmartThings. This initiative aims to change the way consumers shop for home furnishings by integrating stylish furniture with smart technology.
The new experience is available at the Ashley flagship store in Brentwood, Tennessee, where visitors can observe the integration of connected devices through the SmartThings ecosystem using Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE+. The store features various setups demonstrating how spaces can be transformed into functional environments such as a party venue, a work-from-home station, or a bedroom sanctuary with the touch of a button.
Chad Spencer, CEO of the Dufresne Spencer Group, the largest Ashley licensee, highlighted the collaboration’s objective to merge design and technology, enhancing consumer home experiences. Samsung’s 2024 TVs, featuring built-in SmartThings IoT hubs and Matter compatibility, are showcased as part of this initiative. SmartThings supports over 3,800 products from more than 340 third-party brands, including well-known names like Philips Hue, Nanoleaf, Eve, Kasa, and Aqara.
The Brentwood store allows guests to experience SmartThings-enabled routines within thoughtfully designed spaces, featuring over 200 connected devices. According to Allison Stransky, Chief Marketing Officer of Samsung Electronics America, this collaboration aims to make smart technology shopping more accessible and demonstrate the benefits of connected living.
Additionally, Samsung has launched the SmartThings Interactive Home on their website, enabling consumers to visualize connected living setups. More store locations are planned to open soon.
