AC Future, a company focused on creating sustainable living solutions, has announced the completion of the final design for its AI-enabled smart home, developed in collaboration with Hydra Design Labs based in Southern California. This project, known as the AI Transformable Home (Ai-TH), began in January 2024 and is the first product from AC Future aimed at tackling the global challenges of affordable, sustainable, and mobile housing. The Ai-TH is designed as a zero-emissions housing option that can convert into a 400 square foot smart home, equipped with off-grid features such as solar power, water generation, and internet connectivity.

The Ai-TH concept was initially introduced to the public at the 2024 Consumer Electronics Show (CES). Following this event, AC Future partnered with Hydra Design Labs to bring the smart home concept to fruition. Jon Hull, the founder and CEO of Hydra Design Labs, emphasized the importance of design in developing the Ai-TH, stating that the process focused on optimizing user experience and space management. The partnership enabled the creation of a sustainable housing solution that aligns with AC Future’s vision.

Hydra Design Labs worked closely with AC Future in designing both the interior and exterior of the Ai-TH. The firm provided services including CAD surfacing, Class-A surfacing, Color and Trim design, and UI/UX design. The engineering and fabrication efforts culminated in the development of a functional prototype. This prototype is scheduled for unveiling at the Las Vegas Convention Center on January 7th during CES 2025.

Laura Czarnecki, Co-CEO of AC Future, expressed gratitude for the collaboration with Hydra Design Labs, which helped turn the initial concept into a reality. Both teams are eager to present their vision for the future of housing at CES 2025. Updated renderings of the Ai-TH have been released, showing its refined design and technological enhancements since the initial concept was revealed.

Jon Hull noted the extensive process involved in transforming the Ai-TH from a concept to a fully operational model, highlighting the efforts of the designers, specialists, and engineers involved. The completion of the Ai-TH prototype represents a significant achievement for both AC Future and Hydra Design Labs.
