Meross has introduced its first smart thermostat featuring Matter technology, the MTS300MA, designed for heating and cooling systems. Users can verify if their system is compatible by visiting the product compatibility page on the Meross website. The thermostat requires a C wire for power, and for those without one, Meross offers a C Wire Adapter, which can be purchased online.
Matter devices are quickly becoming the go-to device type for smart homes. The Matter standard allows devices to talk securely with a wide range of hubs using a standard communication protocol. The MTS300MA is compatible with 95% of heating and cooling systems. This includes single or multi-stage furnaces, boilers, air conditioners, heat pumps (both with and without auxiliary heating), and fan coil units. This broad compatibility ensures that the device can be used in a wide range of home environments.
The thermostat features a sleek glass panel and minimalist design, allowing users to adjust temperatures with a simple touch or through the Meross app. Energy efficiency is a focus of the MTS300MA, offering a 7×24-hour smart schedule that adjusts heating and cooling based on occupancy. The Meross app allows users to monitor their energy usage, helping them conserve resources and reduce energy bills.
