Midea announced the world’s first Matter connected dishwasher at IFA 2023. Midea was one of the first companies with a matter connected air conditioner and matter connected fan purifier, so they are following true to form with their new dishwasher.
It’s great to see more and more companies using the Matter standard, as there was some concern that companies would not use it and would continue to stay with their own protocols. This leads to walled gardens with smart home device makers – you would need that smart home maker’s app to control their lights, and it can’t communicate with someone else’s devices. So it’s great to see a manufacturer like Midea that is dedicated to bringing Matter to their devices.
Midea’s new smart dishwasher has a range of features to make life easier. You can control it via the app and can adjust many settings like the cleaning temperature, dry level, and more. You’ll even get notifications on your phone when it’s time to clean your dishwasher out.
