Ring has introduced the Ring Battery Doorbell, the latest version of its popular doorbell product, featuring advancements such as Head-to-Toe HD video and an easier installation process. The new model offers up to 23% longer battery life compared to the previous version, based on commonly used settings.
The Ring Battery Doorbell now includes Head-to-Toe HD video, providing a comprehensive 150-degree by 150-degree field of view. This upgrade delivers a 66% taller view compared to the previous generation, enhancing features like Package Alerts, which are available with a Ring Protect subscription. Additionally, the device includes color night vision for visibility in low-light conditions.
Installation of the Ring Battery Doorbell has been simplified with a new push-pin mount design, allowing the doorbell to be securely attached and easily removed for battery recharging. The device also features motion detection with customizable motion zones, real-time alerts, Live View, and Two-Way Talk functionality.
With a Ring Protect subscription, users can access Smart Alerts for notifications about people or packages at their door, receive Rich Notifications with photo previews, and store captured footage in the cloud for up to 180 days. The Battery Doorbell can also connect to Alexa-enabled devices for additional functionality.
Ring emphasizes privacy and security in its products. The Battery Doorbell includes features such as two-step verification, video end-to-end encryption, customizable privacy settings, and privacy zones to block specific areas from monitoring.
