It seems the cost of everything is going up these days; from grocery store prices to gas prices. Even a cup of coffee costs more these days.
Keeping with the trend of ever increasing prices, Ring has announced that they are going to be increasing the price of their basic subscription by 20%. Effective from March 11, 2024, Ring has announced an increase in the price of its Ring Protect Basic subscription. The monthly fee will rise from the current rate of $3.99 to $4.99, while the annual rate will go from $39.99 to $49.99, not including applicable sales tax.
That seems like a pretty steep hike to us, compared to the rate of inflation. It makes us wonder if Ring is just taking advantage of all of the rising prices these days to make a little more money.
If you’re looking for something more local that won’t be charging you a monthly fee, we recommend checking out Eufy, Wyze, or Reolink’s smart cameras and doorbells.
