Roborock has been recognized by IDC as the leading global robot vacuum cleaner brand based on unit sales and revenue, according to the 2024 Q2 Worldwide Smart Home Device Tracker. This marks an 8% year-on-year increase for the brand. Additionally, Roborock, listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange (SHA: 688169), reported significant growth in the first half of 2024. The company achieved operating revenue of 4.416 billion RMB (approximately USD 625 million), a year-on-year increase of 30.90%. Net profit for shareholders reached 1.12 billion RMB (approximately USD 158 million), reflecting a 51.57% year-on-year growth.
IDC attributes Roborock’s commercial success to its emphasis on product design and technological innovation. The 2024 upgrades to its Qrevo and S Series have made the products more lightweight and have enhanced features such as navigation, obstacle avoidance, and hair entanglement prevention. The report also highlights Roborock’s strong early global market penetration, particularly in the United States, where the brand has established a presence in major offline retail chains and through e-commerce operations. Roborock also holds leading sales positions in the Nordics, Germany, Korea, and Turkey.
The global smart robotic vacuum cleaner market grew by 15.7% year-on-year in the second quarter of 2024, driven by product function upgrades and new product launches. Roborock’s recent achievements include winning several prestigious media awards at IFA 2024 for its new Qrevo Curv series, which features technology allowing the vacuum to climb floor obstacles up to 40mm high. The company also launched the Roborock Qrevo Slim, noted as the industry’s slimmest dual-light 3D ToF navigation robot vacuum.
