This helps balance the supply and demand on the energy grid. Residents who enroll and connect their devices to the SmartThings app can also earn rewards for participating in the program.
In addition to Flex Connect, SmartThings Energy offers various features that can be utilized by all users with compatible devices. These features include automation and real-time energy usage data. AI Energy Mode is a feature that learns user routines and adjusts device energy usage accordingly. It uses machine learning to detect when energy use exceeds set targets and provides insights to help optimize energy consumption.
SmartThings Energy also includes gamification elements, such as earning Energy Stamps for saving electricity. Users can convert these stamps into Samsung Rewards Points, which can be used for purchases on Samsung’s website.
