Schlage, a long-standing leader in home security and access solutions, has announced two advancements in smart lock technology at the 2025 Consumer Electronics Show. These innovations are the Schlage Sense Pro Smart Deadbolt and the Schlage Arrive Smart WiFi Deadbolt. These new products aim to bring advancements in home access by introducing the latest features in smart lock technology.
The Schlage Sense Pro Smart Deadbolt includes Matter-over-Thread compatibility and offers a hands-free unlocking experience. This deadbolt features Schlage Converge technology, which uses Ultra Wideband technology in conjunction with the user’s authorized personal device. This allows the lock to calculate speed, trajectory, and motion to provide an intuitive entry experience. The lock is designed to unlock as the user approaches the door. Additional features include hands-free unlocking, keypad access, and NFC tap-to-unlock and lock functionality, providing convenience for homeowners.
The Schlage Arrive Smart WiFi Deadbolt aims to improve security and convenience for any door by incorporating a push-button keypad and built-in WiFi. This design allows the deadbolt to connect directly to the home WiFi network without needing additional accessories. Users can manage access remotely through the Schlage Home app, which supports up to 250 access codes for keyless entry. The app also tracks lock history and provides customized notifications.
David Perozzi, general manager of Allegion Home, stated that these new smart locks continue Schlage’s tradition of innovation in home security. The Schlage Sense Pro Smart Deadbolt is noted for its compatibility with Matter-over-Thread and its intuitive unlocking experience, while the Schlage Arrive offers a simple WiFi solution for first-time smart lock users or those expanding smart security within their homes.
The Schlage Home app, available for iOS and Android devices, will receive an update in early 2025. It aims to simplify access management for Schlage smart locks, including the new releases and the Schlage Encode smart lock family. The app will offer features such as a home view, single-button home locking/unlocking, and management of multiple properties from one screen.
