SimpliSafe has introduced a new home monitoring service called Active Guard Outdoor Protection. This service is designed to help prevent crime before it occurs by extending professional monitoring outside of customers’ homes.
The system utilizes advanced artificial intelligence (AI) technology and trained security agents to identify and deter potential intruders. The service is supported by SimpliSafe’s latest Outdoor Security Camera Series 2, which employs AI to detect and assess threats, allowing security agents to intervene using two-way audio communication.
The Outdoor Security Camera Series 2 features enhanced capabilities such as improved night vision, HD video quality, and a 140-degree field of view. It can capture details from up to 15 feet away, even in low-light conditions. The camera also includes a 90dB siren, spotlights, and the ability to request police dispatch if necessary. Customers have the option to install the system themselves or seek professional assistance, with various power options available including wireless, wired, and solar.
SimpliSafe has collaborated with actress Rachel Bilson to promote the new service. Bilson, who has experienced break-ins personally, has expressed support for the company’s commitment to home security.
