Andluca, known for its advancements in glazing technology, has been chosen to present at the Start-Up Zone Pitch Session during the 2025 International Builders’ Show (IBS). The company’s CEO, Nick Davy, is set to introduce the Andluca Smart Window, a wireless smart home solution that simplifies the accessibility of privacy, security, and biophilic lighting. This presentation is part of IBS’s initiative to feature innovations in the building industry.

Andluca is promoting a transformation in smart window technology by offering wireless and energy-efficient solutions. The company utilizes cutting-edge materials to create smart glass technology that is accessible to a wider market. The smart windows are equipped with a UV-harvesting technology that converts sunlight into electricity, which is stored within the window frame. This electricity powers various smart features, including adaptive cooling shades, dynamic tinting glass, and integrated security features like motion sensors and cameras.

The Andluca Smart Window is characterized by its wire-free design, which enhances occupant comfort, energy efficiency, and security without the need for complex installations or external wiring. This approach makes advanced privacy, security, and light control accessible to a wide range of homeowners, builders, and developers. The smart window solution is designed to be scalable for single-family homes, multi-family residences, and future smart cities.

The adaptive cooling shade feature reflects sunlight, reducing heating by up to 40% and lowering energy costs. The dynamic tinting glass responds to sunlight exposure to control glare and reduce peak energy loads, while the integrated security features offer home monitoring. These advancements aim to provide a sustainable, energy-efficient solution that aligns with the needs of modern smart homes and buildings.

The IBS Start-Up Zone will host Andluca’s exhibit, where attendees can experience the smart windows firsthand. The exhibit is located at Booth #W4355, and a full-scale demonstration is available at Andluca’s site in Oakland, California. The pitch session featuring the Andluca Smart Window is scheduled for February 25, from 3:30 to 4:30 PM, at the IBS Start-Up Zone in the Las Vegas Convention Center.
