SwitchBot has announced the expansion of its environmental meter product portfolio with two new products: SwitchBot Meter Pro and SwitchBot Meter Pro (CO2 Monitor). These products are designed to provide accurate and precise environment monitoring for both indoor and outdoor conditions.
The SwitchBot Meter Pro and Meter Pro (CO2 Monitor) can display indoor and outdoor temperature and humidity, time and date, and the comfort level of an environment. When used with a SwitchBot Hub, they can also display weather forecasts. The SwitchBot Meter Pro (CO2 Monitor) additionally monitors CO₂ levels in the house.
Both devices are equipped with Swiss-made sensors that detect indoor temperature and humidity every 4 seconds with an accuracy of ±0.2°C and ±2%RH. They can display comfort levels based on user-set prompts and provide outdoor temperature and humidity data. Using a SwitchBot Hub, the devices can access online data to display local temperature, humidity, and weather forecasts for up to 12 hours.
The SwitchBot Meter Pro (CO2 Monitor) uses Non-Dispersive Infrared (NDIR) technology to monitor CO₂ levels with an accuracy of ±50ppm within a range of 400-9000ppm. The CO₂ levels can be updated every second, every 30 minutes in battery mode, and every minute in charging mode by default.
Both devices offer three types of alerts for changes in temperature, humidity, or CO₂ levels: sound alerts up to 100dB, visual alerts through number flashing and screen colors, and online alerts via app notifications or emails when used with a SwitchBot Hub.
These devices can integrate into the SwitchBot Ecosystem, triggering automated actions when environmental data exceeds preset limits. They support voice control through Alexa, Google Assistant, Siri Shortcuts, IFTTT, and SmartThings. Users can manage settings through the SwitchBot app, and SwitchBot Meter Pro is Matter-compatible with SwitchBot Hub 2 or Hub Mini Matter Enabled.
SwitchBot Meter Pro operates for up to 12 months on two AA batteries. The Meter Pro (CO2 Monitor) features Type-C charging and a 12-month battery mode when CO₂ detection occurs every 30 minutes. The Meter Pro supports 68 days of local storage and up to 2 years of free cloud storage with a SwitchBot Hub, while the Meter Pro (CO2 Monitor) supports 40 days of local storage and up to 2 years of free cloud storage with a SwitchBot Hub. Data can be exported from the SwitchBot app.
