SwitchBot has introduced the Wallet Finder Card, a new device designed to help users keep track of their valuables. The Wallet Finder Card is 2.5mm thick, making it suitable for use in wallets and card bags. It can also be attached to items such as luggage and backpacks.
The device supports Apple’s Find My network, allowing for global positioning without the need for additional app downloads. It includes 78dB sound alerts for locating lost items, proximity reminders for items that leave the user’s vicinity, and family sharing features. The device can also assist in locating smartphones or tablets by emitting a sound when the card button is pressed twice.
In addition to tracking, the Wallet Finder Card can function as a home key, supporting NFC card functionality when used with SwitchBot Keypad/Keypad Touch, even if the battery is depleted. It can also act as a Bluetooth location card when linked with a SwitchBot Hub, enabling automated home controls.
The Wallet Finder Card is powered by a 540mAh battery, offering up to three years of use on a single charge. Users will receive battery replacement reminders, and NFC functionality remains available even when the battery is fully depleted. The device has an IP67 waterproof rating, allowing it to operate in various conditions. It can also be paired with lanyards for use on luggage, backpacks, and notebooks.
Privacy and security are prioritized, with AES-128 encryption and anti-tracking features to protect user data. A QR code is included for easy contact if the card is found by someone else. Setup is simple and takes less than 30 seconds, with compatibility for both iPhone and Android devices.
