SwitchBot has introduced the SwitchBot Water Leak Detector, a smart home device designed to protect homes from water damage. This device integrates with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi for remote monitoring and real-time alerts via the SwitchBot app, which can help prevent floods. Matter support will be available later this year.

The SwitchBot Water Leak Detector includes 3-in-1 functionality for water drip, immersion, and level detection, using four sensors to detect water levels as low as 0.5mm. It comes with a 1-meter sensor cable for hard-to-reach areas.

The device provides four alarm methods: a 100dB sound alarm, app notifications, email alerts to up to 10 addresses, and voice alerts through Alexa, Google Assistant, Siri, IFTTT, and SmartThings.

The detector has an IP67 waterproof rating, making it suitable for humid environments and functional even when submerged. It uses two AAA batteries, offering up to 24 months of use, with battery level monitoring through the app.

The SwitchBot Water Leak Detector is suitable for various home areas, including basements, kitchens, laundry rooms, bathrooms, living rooms, bedrooms, and other specific locations such as attics, boat cabins, and RVs.
