TCL Joins United Nations Global Compact for Sustainability

TCL Technology and TCL Industries have joined the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC). The UNGC is the largest corporate sustainability initiative globally, involving over 23,000 companies and stakeholders from more than 160 countries. Founded in 1981, TCL has established a presence in over 160 countries and regions, supported by a vertically integrated supply chain, advanced products and technologies, and strategic partnerships.

TCL has committed to incorporating the UNGC principles into its strategy, culture, and daily operations. Additionally, TCL plans to collaborate on projects that advance the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This commitment to sustainable development is a core part of TCL’s business and brand strategy.

Wei Xue, Vice President of TCL Technology and Director of ESG Office, highlighted the importance of sustainable practices and corporate responsibility for TCL. The company has been promoting sustainability through its TCLGreen initiative since 2022. In 2023, TCL implemented 857 energy efficiency projects, achieving National Green Factory Status for 15 sites, saving 668 million kWh of energy, and reducing carbon emissions by over 343,000 tons.
