Samsung has announced the launch of the SmartThings Innovation Challenge, coinciding with the 10th Annual Samsung Developer Conference (SDC) on October 3, 2024, at the San Jose Convention Center. This challenge is designed to encourage developers to propose new SmartThings features, enhancements, or drivers.
The top three finalists from each challenge theme will present their ideas to a panel of judges at the conference, with winners announced at the SDC24 after party. The first-place winners in each theme will receive a Samsung 55” Frame TV.
Participants can choose from two themes: proposing a new feature or enriching an existing one, and developing a new driver to enhance the SmartThings experience. Submissions are due by August 30, 2024. A Pre-SDC24 Webinar will be held on September 12, 2024, to announce the finalists. Finalists are required to attend SDC24 to present their ideas.
