Samsung Electronics has announced the SmartThings Innovation Challenge in conjunction with the 10th Annual Samsung Developer Conference (SDC) scheduled for October 3, 2024, at the San Jose Convention Center. The challenge invites developers to submit ideas for new features, enhancements, or drivers for the SmartThings platform.
Participants can choose from two themes: proposing a new feature or enhancing an existing feature, and developing a new driver to improve user experience on SmartThings. Submissions are due by August 30, 2024. The top three finalists from each theme will present their ideas to a panel of judges at SDC24, with the winners announced during the conference’s after-party.
Winners will receive a Samsung 55” Frame TV and be recognized at the SmartThings Partner Reception at SDC24. The challenge aims to increase visibility for developers’ ideas, foster community connections, and potentially secure resources for further development.
Interested participants should submit their ideas and attend a Pre-SDC24 Webinar on September 12, 2024, to learn if they are finalists. Finalists must present their ideas in person at SDC24.
